Leading Enterprises of AI Research and Application in China Attend IJCAI

At the International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence (IJCAI) held in Melbourne, eight of the best AI research and application enterprises in China jointly attended the conference, which became a highlight.
 
The International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence is the world's top AI conference. "China's participation in the conference this year accounted for one-third of articles, ranking first; the number of attendees accounted for one-fourth, ranking second. These two data are the first in China's previous sessions, which shows that China attaches great importance to AI. Professor Zhang Chengqi, Chairman of the Local Organizational Committee of the Congress, Chairman of the Australian Society of Artificial Intelligence and Dean of the School of Data Science, Sydney University of Science and Technology, told China News Agency.
 
Zhang Chengqi believes that China has reached the world advanced level in the application of AI. China has data, scenarios and funds, but in terms of research, the distance from the world's advanced is becoming smaller and smaller.
 
This time Alibaba, Baidu, Tencent, Droplet, Jingdong, Meitou, Ant Golden Clothes, Small I Robot and other leading enterprises in the field of artificial intelligence in China, organized a group to attend the meeting, in order to promote their products, while tapping high-end talent. Reporters at the conference site saw that before the booth of Chinese enterprises, crowds were gathering, and many young people were asking about the recruitment situation.
 
At this conference, Professor Jin Rong, head of Alibaba Institute of Data Science and Technology, will give a special report to the conference. This is the first time that Chinese companies have reported on IJCAI.
 
Dr Yu Dong, head of Tencent AILab, told reporters in a written interview that Tencent AILab has maintained good cooperative relations with many internationally renowned institutions and institutions and hopes to further expand exchanges and contacts with Australia in the future. In the final analysis, the competition of technology is also the competition of talents. Current data show that a considerable number of researchers engaged in in in-depth learning are Chinese. And in the global context, there are many Chinese who study AI, so there will be a good talent base for the development of AI in China.
 
It is known that Melbourne's state of Victoria attaches great importance to and supports the holding of the conference, and looks forward to strengthening cooperation with China in the field of high-tech. Fahiem Bacchus, president of the conference, told reporters that AI in China is developing very fast because of the rapid development of their computer technology. Australia has many talents in this field. China has a market and Australia has research power. The two sides can work together for mutual benefit and win-win situation.
